 Not all suppliers have easy access to a customer location.  TeleData Select uses proprietary fiber maps to determine what internet supplier is the closest to our customers locations. . They then select various different internet service providers to determine who has the best pricing and quickest installs.   No need for customers to contact multiple suppliers and get bombarded by the sales team,  we do the research for you and provide options to review.

This all depends on how clost the internet service providers are close to your business or if there has been previous services prior.  Porting of phone numbers from the supplier is sometimes at the discretion of the losing supplier.  Always a good idea to make sure your consultant sets realistic expectations and does not over promise.   Best case, look at 30-45 days.  However, in some cases it can go for three months or 6 when services need to be built out.

In the old days, this was an issue, however with the internet being faster and better all the time it’s not so much of an issue anymore.  Also, many VoIP providers pair with the big internet carriers, reducing handoffs from one company to another.  Adding a 2nd internet circuit with SD-WAN is a great way to ensure great quality.

 As more and more companies outsource support overseas it’s best to ask the question?    We find install and onboarding support experience to be better handled when its US-Based.  However, some overseas support does a great job.   We can take the guesswork out of project management and may never notice.
